…the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God and is the standard for us in how to live our lives (2 Timothy 3:16).

…Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, and he died for our sins and resurrected on the third day (John 3:16).

…one must repent of his or her sins and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

…one must make Jesus Lord of their life to be saved (Romans 10:9).

…it is by grace we have been saved, through faith (Ephesians 2:8).

…as a Christian, one must be committed to the two greatest commandments in the Bible: Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40).

…as a Christian, one must be committed to sharing the good news of Jesus (Matthew 28:19).

Clean Lawrence 2008

We are pleased to announce the “Clean Lawrence 2008” Helping Hand Project.

On Saturday April 26th, the members and families of the Lawrence Church of Christ will be helping to clean up our city. With help from the Lawrence parks and recreational department, we have identified a couple of parks which need a helping hand.

Therefore, we will be cleaning Centennial Park just off 9th and Iowa, as well as Prairie Park, and Mary’s Lake nature trail in south Lawrence. We will be cleaning these parks on Saturday April 26th from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.

Our goal is to serve the community by cleaning up our parks. In addition, we are using this “Spring Cleaning Opportunity” as a fund raiser for our international mission programs as well as our mission work in the Lawrence Area.

The Lawrence Church of Christ is very active in community projects such as working with C.L.O (Community Living Organization), Jayrock Campus ministry, Salvation Army, The Ballard Center, Lawrence Open Shelter, and “Clean Lawrence”.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email our church administrator Kevin Anderson at 749-5882.
